.. on Tyler Hilton

I've loved Tyler Hilton ever since I discovered him back in 2007 thru his video When It Comes. I was working as a TSR/CSR for MTV's now defunct music download site, URGE ( which has since merged w/ Rhapsody, those were good times definitely ). So anyway, I'm in the habit of looking up artists I came across say a couple of years ago that I'm not hearing that much from recently. And more often than not, I'm usually rewarded with a new song. And so here are my favorites from Tyler Hilton, from 2007-11:

.. "it's very hard for Nolan to make a bad film.."

..that proclamation, right there, prompted me to go on a Christopher Nolan films marathon. I wanted to prove him wrong, but am failing, so far teehee ^.* Just finished watching Memento and is usually the case w/ a Nolan film, my head is aching. Long after the end credits had rolled up, I'm still trying to put two and two together. So I decided to take a break and watch something light. And so I've always liked Demi Lovato, so deciding to watch Camp Rock was a no brainer. Ok, of course the plot was really easy to follow ( if you're changing gear from Nolan's works, of course it, is lol), but I ended up really liking this song:

Haha. Don't kill me if from the title, you thought I'd go intense on dissecting the director's works and then you ended up listening to a Disney song. Well, whatever, better late than never. Good thing I got to listen to this song. <3

     weekend. which basically means I'm either online, or having one of those my-calendar-skipped-a-day sleep. Earlier that day we agreed we'd meet up at around 7pm to go out, which we haven't done in like, forever. But since Swit is starting her chemo sessions the following week (brave woman, i know she'll get past this), we decided to break our routine. fast forward to...
     i sat up awake, literally dazed and confused. brought back to the living. I heard some people screaming my name outside in unison. Oh sh*t! grabbed my alarm clock, and as I feared, it's already 9pm. wow. i ran outside and blurted out my apology. good thing they weren't exactly early birds themselves so.. haha.. i told them i'd just shower and get dressed so they decided to go have dinner somewhere else first then come back for me. Apparently they had been texting me and tried to call me (my phone died) and eventually decided to come get me the old fashioned way lol.. *sigh* i love my friends. 
     an hour later we were enjoying an acoustic night over some drinks, then had a night cap at a coffee shop. went home around 3am. whew! it was really, really fun. hmmmm. it was definitely a nice change to my sleep-watch-a-movie-visit-online-forums-among-other-himono-onna-habits...

MC Mong ♥

I just came across a news article about MC Mong attending his fourth trial for military draft dodging, and i thought I really should blog about him already. News about this started last year and it just saddens me cos it might mean that we might not be hearing from him anytime soon. Gosh! I just L-O-V-E his music. His songs were actually one of the earliest k-pop songs that influenced me into delving further into the genre. Am gonna post my ultimate MC Mong faves here cos I wanna share them. I swear, a few lines into each songs and I'm already at a happy place. I don't know about you, but this is one of my proven-and-tested happy pills. ^_^

So anyway, I don't really understand how drafting works in Korea but all I know is I miss him and I'm really feeling his absence from the k-pop music scene. awww, this just sucks. I hope things will work out for him eventually. Mc Mong, hwaiting!
