Picture this:
1. I discovered a band, Sparklehorse.
2. I think they're great. I find most of their songs so moving. poetic. Hauntingly beautiful and melancholy at the same time. So much so that I posted this in my FB:
"there are some music that's meant to be played aloud when you're all alone, and think about bigger things and the world. or be nostalgic over something that we could never have again, or to wistfully dream of a future. most of Sparklehorse's stuff is one of those. "
And a few minutes later...
1. I found out the lead vocalist Mark Linkous is no longer of this world.
2. He committed suicide.
3. .. just a few months ago on my birthday, Mar 06.
4. On a Saturday. Incidentally, the title of one of their songs that I like.
R.I.P Mark! Thank you for the songs you left us. May you be in a better place now..
